07/05/2026. Presentation of the book My Soul and Destiny – Sever

The National Library of Karelia held a presentation of the book My Soul and Destiny – Sever («Душа и судьба моя – „Север“»). The author of the book is Liubov Nifantyeva, Honoured Teacher of the Republic of Karelia and Head of the Sever youth search club. She told about the role of the club in her life, outstanding pages of searching activities of the club. The presentation was opened by a waltz performed by the ballroom dance ensemble STEP.
Tatyana Tishkova, Chair of the Committee on Education, Culture, Sports, and Youth Policy of the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Karelia; Natalya Volkova, Deputy Minister of Education and Sports of the Republic of Karelia; and Alexey Butenko, Head of the Department of Youth Policy of the Republic of Karelia, expressed their gratitude to Lyubov Nifantyeva and the Sever Club. They congratulated Nifantyeva on the publication of her new book and emphasized the importance of continuing the search for the remains of fallen soldiers of the Great Patriotic War and perpetuating their memory for future generations.
The first generation of the Sever club also came to congratulate Lyubov Nifantyeva on the book's release. They were the ones who opened the Memory and Time museum in 1989 as part of the First All-Union Red Searching Festival, which was held at Petrozavodsk Secondary School No. 3. School Principal Olga Murzina was at the forefront of the club and museum's creation and helped organize the festival. She congratulated Lyubov Nifantyeva on the release of her new book.
Yury Shleikin, Honoured Journalist of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Karelia, told about his cooperation with the club and thanked VP-Print printing house for their attention to detail in publishing a book.
That evening, songs about Karelia and its history were sang. The vocal ensemble of H. Sinisalo Children's Music School No. 1 performed for the presentation's guests.
The evening concluded with an autograph session, during which everyone could receive a copy of the book and a dedication from the author.
