15/06/2015. Poems by Pushkin in Vepsian
In Arkhangelsk a book of translations of the poem "A wondrous moment I remember" by A. Pushkin has been recently published. The book contains translations into 210 languages. Nikolai Abramov has translated the poem into Vepsian. Here is a fragment of his interview:
– Nikolai, did you translate this poem especially for this book or had you translated it before?
– A year ago, I was approached by the director of the Arkhangelsk Literary Museum Boris Yegorov asking me to translate Pushkin's poem "A wondrous moment I remember" in Vepsian. Prior to that, I have already translated the poems by Alexander Pushkin, even excerpt from the poem "Eugene Onegin", and all these is published in my book "Time of cranes", published in 1999. But my hands did not reach the love confession to Anna Kern, and now I had a good opportunity.
