24/09/2024. Opening of Borovoy Rural Model Library
September 24, 2024:
A new modernised model library was opened in the village of Borovoy (Kalevalsky District). The second model library has already opened in the Kalevala municipal district, and this is the result of clear and professional interaction between the republican and municipal authorities, the regional project office and the library staff.
Thanks to the design solutions of an artist Ekaterina Zharina, several information spaces appeared in the renovated library: a reader service area, a game area, computerized places for individual work, an area for holding master classes, and a spacious hall for holding events.
The grand opening ceremony of the model library was attended by Elena Sinkova, Deputy Head of the Administration of the Kalevala Municipal District; Lyubov Mostaykina, Head of the village of Borovoy; and Ekaterina Vaulina, Director of the Centralized Library System of Kalevala Municipal District. The model library received video congratulations from the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova and the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Karelia Andrei Shibanov.
On the Year of the Family, the right to cut the symbolic ribbon was granted to a young reading Tarasov-Burey’s family, an active Kaliyev’s family and members of the Karelian language communication group named Tule pAkinOila.
The decoration of the ceremony was the performance of the Surprise children's choreographic group and the students of the children's music school. The library staff prepared a video "Browsing an Old Album" dedicated to the history of the library's development, which did not leave any resident of the village indifferent.
We wish the library staff further creative inspiration, new achievements and bright projects, and readers and residents of the village of Borovoy – memorable meetings with books and interesting people on the premises of the library.
