08/10/2026. Meeting with Natalia Laidinen
October 7, 2026:
Poems were recited in the National Library's conference hall. The National Library held Meet the Poet event, and the hero of the day was Natalia Laidinen.
The meeting with the poet was attended by students of Petrozavodsk secondary school no. 38 and Cadets of Petrozavodsk Presidential Cadet School.
Natalia Laidinen spoke about her creative path; how poems are born and where a poet finds inspiration, the importance of family and roots, and a person's place in life and the search for their own path.
The poet shared her reflections on the role of the poetic word in the modern world, presented her books, and read poems from various cycles. The image of the North – the nature of Karelia, its history, and its cultural heritage – holds a special place in her work.
