17/12/2012. Meeting with Janusz Leon Wisniewski
This was the final leg of the trip of Janusz Leon Wiśniewski to the North West Russia (Pskov-Novgorod-Petrozavodsk). In Pskov his meeting with readers was held in a library and attended by about 180 people, and in Veliky Novgorod – in the shop Bukvoed, where the number of participants reached 200 people.
In Petrozavodsk the hall of the National Theatre of the Republic of Karelia didn't accommodate all comers. 350 lucky persons took their place, and the most faithful fans waited for the autograph session in the theatre lobby. The writer didn't leave the meeting place until he signed the last book.
At the meeting after an opening speech readers could ask their questions. The writer was asked about characters of his writings, results of the technical progress and, of course, about his relationship with women and literature. As far as Wiśniewski has a reputation for being an expert on women's feelings, it's easy to understand, that two hours of the meeting passed under the sign of Love.
Janusz Wiśniewski said: ”I'm a chemist by one of my professions. Amorousness is a chemical reaction, based on hormones, the effect of which is similar to drugs. This reaction can proceed from 18 minutes till an hour and a half, and when it ends, this amorousness is over. We can endlessly speak about love. This topic will not go out of fashion even two thousands years later”.
TV company Sampo conducted an online broadcast of the writer's meeting with people living in Petrozavodsk.
”I'm happy to visit Petrozavodsk. Usually, when I come to your country, I am taken to Moscow or St-Petersburg. But that is not a real Russia. The real Russia is here”.
