24/09/2015. MediaCamp2015 and literature photomarathon

In the framework of the Karelian-Norwegian Literary Avenue international project the participants of the MediaCamp2015 young journalists’ camp from the Higher national school of Pasvik (Finnmark, Norway) visited the National Library of the Republic of Karelia.
The purpose of the visit of the library was to get acquainted with its activities and participate in the literary photomarathon, organized by the National Library of the Republic of Karelia, Karelia-Norway friendship organization, the international youth club Solveig, the Environmental Film Festival "BEFF" and the Petrozavodsk Children School of Arts named after M. A. Balakirev.
In addition to the delegation of the Higher national school of Pasvik the photomarathon was attended by the students of the Petrozavodsk Children School of Arts named after M. A. Balakirev and young photographers of Petrozavodsk. Young journalists and photographers met Karelian writers Nikolai Abramov and Yana Zhemoitelite. Svetlana Kharina told about the Karelian medieval costume in XI -XII centuries.
On the 24th of September in continuation of the Karelian-Norwegian Literary Avenue project the international exhibition Grenseland. The Barents Region in Poems and Photos was opened in the gallery of the Petrozavodsk Children School of Arts named after M. A. Balakirev. Young journalists and photographers read poems by modern Norwegian and Karelian poets. At the opening ceremony the results of the photomarathon were announced and the winners got the presents.
