28/09/2026. Literary dictation at the National Library
September 26, 2026:
The National Library of Karelia joined the Literary Dictation – International Educational Campaign. The aim of the dictation is to provide participants with an independent assessment of their knowledge of Russian literature and to promote reading skills by drawing attention to Russian literature.
The educational campaign was established of the Ministry of Culture and Arts of Murmansk Region. The organizer is the State Scientific Library of Murmansk Region.
In 2026, along with readers from Russia, residents of the Czech Republic, Spain, Malta, Lebanon, Mexico, and Argentina also took part in the event. Twenty people tested their knowledge that day at the National Library of Karelia. These are readers of various ages, many of whom have been participating in the campaign for years. They noted the importance of the project and expressed a desire to try their hand at literature again in a year.
