The National Library of Karelia joined the All-Russian event BiblioNight 2024.
This annual large-scale event has been held for the 13th time. It aims at supporting reading and the social significance of literature as an important part of national culture.
This year, the BiblioNight was dedicated to the Year of Family, and its theme was Let’s Read Together with the Whole Family. According to a tradition, the first guests of the BiblioTwilight were our young patrons.
Children’s program started with the opening of the Children’s Book Week. From the 21st till the 28th of April, our young readers and their parents will meet famous children’s writers, take part in workshops, children's literature reviews, creative programs, loud readings, quizzes and much more!
After the opening ceremony of Children's Book Week, playgrounds, quests and master classes began their work for the youngest readers. At BiblioTwilight, writer Anna Tilles and her fairy-tale characters came to visit young readers.
Family reading is a creative and useful process for both children and adults. At 6 p.m., the BiblioNight 2024 sites began their work.
The guests of the BiblioNight could get acquainted with rare editions of past centuries. The library organized three excursions to the exhibition Family Reading of Romanov Dynasty in the Rare Book Sector.
