January 18, 2026:
The National Library of Karelia held the awarding ceremony of the Magic Christmas competition – the international art competition for children and young people.
Christmas is one of the warmest, most magical, and undoubtedly beloved family holidays. In 2025, the competition celebrated a significant anniversary – 25 years! At Magic Christmas 2025, talented young people from Karelia, Russia, Belarus, and Finland made Christmas wishes, crafted, imagined, and embraced the good and beautiful. Children from Petrozavodsk, Kondopoga, Pitkyaranta, Pryazha, Girvas, Povenets, and other cities and towns of Karelia gathered in the library's conference hall to receive their well-deserved awards. Diplomas and gifts will also be sent to Tver, Kaluga, and Yessentuki.
The National Library of Karelia expresses its gratitude to the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Karelia, the internet provider Citylink, the regional branch of the All-Russian public-state movement of children and youth Movement of the First, and the Art Up studio for their support of our young talent competition.
A huge thank you to the competition jury members: Zhanna Storozheva, Lina Kosheleva, Daria Odinets, Elena Obozova, Svetlana Zaalova, Tatyana Dudinova, Anna Taybakova, and Elena Fedorova for their work in selecting and evaluating the best creative works.
