12/11/2013. "At the Top of My Voice!"

On the 1st of November 2013 in the National Library of Karelia the 95th anniversary of the Russian Young Communist League (Komsomol) was celebrated. There were a presentation and a meeting with authors and heroes of a book Faces of Karelian Komsomol complied by Jury Shleikin. Actors of Petrozavodsk theatres Natalia Antipina, Nikolai Antipin, Elena Sapeghina, Natalia Vasiljeva, Vladimir Elmychov and Vlad Timonin under the guidance of Oleg Gureev read penetrating poems by Vladimir Mayakovski. The program ”At the Top of My Voice!” was devoted to the 95th anniversary of Komsomol and the 120th anniversary of Vladimir Mayakovski. |

Contrary to expectations the event was attended not only by the old guard but also by young people. After the play visitors stayed to share their experiences.
Specialists of the library prepared an exhibition I won't leave the Komsol and a book and magazine exhibition devoted to Vladimir Mayakovski.
