21/09/2023. Archives and Genealogy. VI International Scientific and Practical Conference

At the National Library of Karelia, the VI International Scientific and Practical Conference Archives and Genealogy started. The conference is organized by the National Archives of the Republic of Karelia.
The conference participants were welcomed by S. Solovyov, First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Karelia, and A. Morozov, Director of the National Archive of the Republic of Karelia.
The conference program includes reports dedicated to genealogical research and family history made by scientists, archivists, genealogists from Petrozavodsk, Arkhangelsk, Astrakhan, Vyborg, Veliky Novgorod, Moscow, St. Petersburg and Belarus. The conference will continue on September 22; a live broadcast of the conference is available on the National Library website.
The conference is attended by employees of the National Library of the Republic of Karelia. M. Vanchurova, Chief Bibliographer of the Department of National and Local Literature and Bibliography, presented a report “Internet Project of the National Library of the Republic of Karelia “Names in the History of Karelia.” An exhibition of new books about Karelia was prepared for the conference participants.
