06/11/2013. Another Book – a comic book party
On the 8th of October 2013 the National Library of Karelia held a comic book party Another Book. The main heroes of the evening were an American painter David Lasky, a comic book author Olga Pugacheva, a folk group Sattuma and Her Majesty the Book.
David Lasky told about his graphic novel Don't Forget This Song. This book dedicated to the biography of American family folk group Carter Family had won a prestigious Eisner Award. After that David Lasky organized a workshop for everyone who wants to create such books. The workshop was attended by many people, and this event lasted three hours.
At th same time young readers and their parents took part in a workshop organized by Karelian fashion designer Olga Pugacheva.
This evening guests of the Library were listening to live music played by a folk group Sattuma. In the National Library there are exhibitions of works by David Lasky and Olga Pugacheva.
