19/11/2016. Forum of the Peoples of Karelia was held in Petrozavodsk
November 19, 2016:
The Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration held the Forum of the Peoples of Karelia attended by heads and specialists of national cultural organizations of Karelia, representatives of religious confessions, heads and specialists of public authorities of the Republic of Karelia, teachers and students of RANEPA, Petrozavodsk State University, Petrozavodsk College of Municipal Services and schoolchildren of Petrozavodsk.

Petrozavodsk branch of the Consulate General of Finland in St. Petersburg together with the National Library of Karelia and the Institute of Finland in St. Petersburg organized the Exhibition of photographs The Golden Generation. Modernism in the Finnish Architecture and Design.
04/11/2016. Exhibition The Bridges of Budapest
November 2, 2016:
The National Library of Karelia opened an exhibition The Bridges of Budapest. The exhibition was opened by the Consul General of Hungary in St. Petersburg Mr. Ferenc Nagy-Rébék and the Head of the National Library of Karelia Marina Nikishina. The opening ceremony was attended by the Consul for Economic and Commercial Affairs Adam Stifter.

October 22, 2016: The Saturday evening drew capacity audience in the National Library of the Republic of Karelia. The library held a creative meeting with Viacheslav Agapitov The Challenge of the North which opened the series of events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of conferment of the status of the National Library to our library

October 15, 2016:
The National Library of the Republic of Karelia prepared different presents for readers on its birthday: an exhibition of unique tactile books, a quiz and excursions to the library and on the Pushkinskaja Street. This day all visitors could receive a library card for free.

The National Library of Karelia took part in the International Fish Festival Kalakunda. One of the main autumn events of Karelia gathered together cultural institutions, trout breeders and people fond of fishing and having a good time.
