March 7 – April 28, 2023:
The National Library of Karelia presents the KoMyhts exhibition, dedicated to the annual cultural marathon Kalevala’s Mosaic.
The exhibition is presented by Svetlana Panina, artist and head of the Shondi-Art workshop, participant in Perm and regional exhibitions, winner of the Ethnoobraz art and park sculpture sketch competition. Svetlana Panina creates paintings based on folk myths and legends in an ethnofuturistic style.
The exhibition is based on amazing myths that reveal the understanding of the world order of the ancient representatives of the Finno-Ugric peoples. Modern artists, directors and photographers tell folk tales in their own language, strive to embody them in pictures and help modern people understand them better. One of these artists was Svetlana Panina, who decided to present her exhibition to the Petrozavodsk audience. The exhibition is open until April 28.
