11/09/2017. This year the Traditional Festival of Karelian Literature was held in the village of Ilyinsky
Since 2000, the Festival of Karelian Poetry "Tas synnynrannan minun algu" (Eng. Here My Motherland Is Beginning.) dedicated to the people's writer of Karelia Vladimir Brendoev has been held in the Olonets national municipal district.
Today the festival has become traditional; it is walking along the Olonets land attracting more and more people. The program of the festival includes Karelian reading competitions and exhibitions of drawings.
This year the festival was held in the village of Ilyinsky. In the temple of the village of Eroila parishioners and guests of the festival heard the speech of Archpriest Boris. A tour to the village "Minun Alavoine - Our Ilyinsky" was organized for the guests of the festival. In the parish house of the village of Ilyinsky there was a presentation of a photo exhibition of the Head of the photo club "Olonia" Valery Kirillov "Karelian bakery. Kalitki".
The opening ceremony of the festival began with the reading of poems in the Karelian language. The local folklore group Kummazhet showed its song skills, and the specialist of the culture house prepared a competitive program on the knowledge of traditional Karelian culture. The key event of the day was a literary and musical composition "The family begins with a hearth, and the people - with their native language."
Guests of the festival were presented a performance in the Karelian language "Beauty and Health" by the local theater studio, as well as performances by creative groups.
The winner of the Vladimir Brendoev Prize was Georgy Chernobrovkin, a poet, a member of the Writers' Union of Russia and the Head of the Olonets centralized library system.
The Minister of Karelia for the National Politics Andrey Manin gave to the Olonets District Library a unique edition - "The Anthology of Modern Poetry of the Peoples of Russia", which also includes works by authors writing in Karelian, Vepsian and Finnish languages, including Zinaida Dubinina's poems, a poetesses from the Olonets District.
