31/03/2017. The evening of the modern Finnish literature
The National Library of Karelia held a literary meeting with modern Finnish writers Olli Jalonen, Helena Sinervo and J. S. Meresmaa.
The evening was filled with conversations about the Finnish and world literature; participants of the event prepared and read translations of works by our foreign guests. The interested audience asked many questions to the Finnish authors. The audience was curious to know about secrets of writing skills, everyday life of Finnish writers and sources of real inspiration. Also participants spoke about virtual resources, which to date have created serious competition for the book and reading in general. At the end of the evening an autograph session was held and the authors gave their books to the library.
The language of the event was Finnish, and the Russian interpreter was Jana Zhemoitelite.
