20/06/2013. The Rushkin’s Day of Russia in the National Library of Karelia
On the 6th of June 2013 in the National Library of Karelia a festival devoted to Alexander Pushkin's birthday was held.
There were two parts in the celebratory program: the morning and the evening parts. At the beginning of the celebration in a park near the library flowers to the poet monument were laid and poems by Pushkin were read. After that there was an interactive theatrical performance directed by Natalia Vasilyeva and Svetlana Romanova (The Puppet Theatre of the Republic of Karelia).
The most curious guests took part in an intellectual games and answered questions asked by Arina Rodionovna. There were workshops “A volumetric collage based on fairytales by Pushkin” and “?unnel book” in the library.
The guests saw a puppet play ”The Tale about the Golden Fish” directed by Boris Kudryavtsev. At the same time the literary and musical performance “The House in Kolomna” by Roland Gusev and soloists of the Symphony Orchestra of the State Philharmonic of Karelia Pavel Kostrov (violin) and Ekaterina Svetlova (violin).
The holiday finished late in the evening with the rap battle organized by The Youth Centre in park near the monument to Pushkin.
