26/07/2017. The National Library of the Republic of Karelia held a press conference in the framework of the Petroglyph Festival and a roundtable discussion Preserving the Heritage of the North
Th 5th International Literature Festival Petroglyph started with a press conference at the National Library. The organizer of the festival Vladimir Sofienko told reporters about the program, the tasks of the festival, its participants and plans for the future and answered questions. Moscow guests – writer Andrei Korovin and musician Alexander Alexandrov – shared their impressions about Karelia. After the press conference, a roundtable discussion Preserving the Heritage of the North was held. The discussion was attended by writers Anna Matasova, Vera Linkova, Irina Mamayeva and other festival participants and also the Head of the village of Essoila Andrei Orekhanov. This year, the main events of the festival will take place exactly there (Essoila, Korza, Rubchoila). At the round table there were very interesting emotional speeches about the preservation of the heritage of the past, upbringing of children and the present state of Karelian villages.
