September 2, 2017:
The National Library of Karelia took part in the Kalakunda Fish Festival. Lovers of fishing gathered on the banks of the river Lososinka to try their luck in fishing.
Fishing is a whole science, and every fisherman has his own methods and secrets. While communicating with nature, studying the habits of fish, a person develops his observation and rests from everyday worries. But there is a natural question - what to do with the result of this work? Catching fish is only half the battle, and it is important to be able to cook it deliciously.
A book exhibition of the National Library helped in resolving this issue. All visitors of the mobile library could learn recipe for the most delicious fish soup and fish pie “rybnik”, listen to the songs and see fragments of movies about fishing. Young guests of the mobile library took part in a quiz Karelian Fishing.
Many participants noticed that first of all a good fishing is a communication with friends and unity with nature, but not the amount of fish caught.
