May 20, 2017:
The National Library of the Republic of Karelia held a presentation of the first poetry book O, muga olgah by Paushi Lemnu. The book was published in Petrozavodsk in Vesro Publishing House.
Paushi Lemnu is already somewhat familiar to Petrozavodsk readers due to the program The Book Chamber, where he has announced for the first time his desire to write poetry about his homeland. Poetry by Paushi Lemnu is a strange phenomenon - the national consciousness, expressed in Russian. In his poems, there is a selfless love to Karelia and its inhabitants, a sense of belonging to the history of this northern region.
At the presentation Mihail Strepanov, who organized the house museum of Ortjo Stepanov, made a speech and supported Paushi Lemnu’s initiative. The ensemble Kayakhus performed several songs in the Karelian language.
