14/11/2013. Meeting with Finnish journalist Anna-Lena Lauren
On the 12th of November 2013 in the National Library of Karelia a meeting with Finnish journalist Anna-Lena Lauren was held. She came to Petrozavodsk at the invitation of Petrozavodsk branch of the Consulate General of Finland in St. Petersburg. Anna-Lena has written books about Russia and republics of the former Soviet Union. She has been living and working in Moscow for several years and speak Russian very well. At the creative meeting with readers Anna-Lena Lauren told about her book They're Not All There, Those Russians which was published in Russian in 2010. The journalist presented her last book The Unknown Price of Freedom. The book is devoted to color revolutions in Georgia, Ukraine and Kirghizia. The meeting aroused great interest among the audience. Anna-Lena answered numerous questions from journalists, teachers and students.

During the visit to Petrozavodsk Anna-Lena Lauren attended a history lesson in the school of Arts. She is interested in history teaching at school, because she is going to write an article about the unified history textbook in Russia. The journalist also meets students of Chair of Finnish and Baltic Philology of Petrozavodsk State University.
