24/02/2016. Actual Issues of Library and Information Activities were discussed in the National Library of the Republic of Karelia

The National Library of the Republic of Karelia organized the library seminar Actual Issues of Library and Information Activities. The seminar was held as a part of the expanded meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Karelia on the results of 2015 and prospects of development of the field of culture in 2016.
The seminar Actual Issues of Library and Information Activities held in the National Library of the Republic of Karelia was attended by 37 people, including heads and specialists of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Karelia and the Ministry of Labour and Employment of the Republic of Karelia, heads of the libraries of the Republic and public libraries from 16 municipalities of the Republic of Karelia, including 14 municipal districts and 2 urban districts.
The seminar was held as a round table in the framework of the expanded meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Karelia on the results of 2015 and prospects of development of the field of culture in 2016. There was discussed one of the most topical issues concerning modern library activities: the implementation of the "effective contract" in the cultural institutions.
The National Library of the Republic of Karelia presented analytical information on switching to the "effective contract" in the municipal libraries of the Republic. Kseniya Leynova, the Head of the Segezha Central Library System, told about her experience on the implementation of the "effective contract" in the Segezha Central Library System.
